Terms of Use
Terms for using QuietSeat and contributing venue sound information.
About QuietSeat
QuietSeat provides community observations, sound measurements and other information about restaurant and venue sound environments for general informational purposes. Sound conditions can change based on time, seating area, occupancy, events, music, building layout and other factors. QuietSeat does not guarantee that a venue will match a particular experience at any given time.
Using the service
You may use QuietSeat only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not interfere with the service or other users. You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access, misuse automated systems, manipulate ratings, submit fraudulent information or use QuietSeat to harass or harm others.
Your contributions
You are responsible for information you submit and must have the right to provide it. Do not submit unlawful, abusive, misleading, defamatory or confidential information about other people. By submitting venue observations or feedback, you give QuietSeat permission to store, process, display and aggregate that information as needed to provide and improve the service.
QuietSeat may moderate or remove content that violates these terms, threatens the integrity of the service, appears fraudulent or creates legal or safety concerns.
Sound measurements and accessibility information
QuietSeat measurements and community observations are intended to help users make more informed choices. They are not medical advice, professional acoustic assessments, accessibility certifications or guarantees of a particular sensory experience.
Venue information and claims
Venue details may come from third-party place services, QuietSeat users or venue operators. Venue operators may claim a venue and provide business information. A claimed venue does not receive the ability to purchase, suppress or directly alter independent QuietSeat user observations or ratings.
Accounts
An account is optional for the core guest experience. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining access to the email account used to authenticate with QuietSeat and for activity performed through your QuietSeat account.
Account deletion
You may permanently delete your QuietSeat account from Profile → Delete account in the app. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. Account deletion removes your QuietSeat account and associated user-linked information, subject to limited information we may be required to retain for legal, security or fraud-prevention purposes.
Third-party services
QuietSeat relies on third-party services for functions such as hosting, authentication, mapping and place information. Those services may have their own terms and privacy practices. QuietSeat is not responsible for the availability or accuracy of third-party services or information outside our control.
Availability and changes
We work to keep QuietSeat available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation or complete venue information. We may add, change or discontinue features as the service evolves.
Disclaimer and limitation
QuietSeat is provided on an "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, QuietSeat and its operators are not liable for decisions made solely in reliance on venue sound information, community observations or third-party venue data. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Use as QuietSeat evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date below and, where appropriate, providing additional notice.
